Hey Yall,
Sory I haven't updated in a while...been kind of busy and away from computer quite a bit.
I was in Apollo Beach, Fl. at the beginning of March for 2 weeks and the weather was great.
We were watching the weather reports for Michigan and laughing our asses of quite a bit.
Anyway, my father and his girlfriend hav a place in a retirement mobil home comunity, and we were having a great time with them.
These old folks are not sitting and watching their lives slip by either...they have stuff going on all of the time.
While we were down there, they had bowling, horse shoe, shuffle board, and bingo going on every week, but they also have a lot of trips to the casinos, cruises, a trip to Branson, MO.,
quilting, potery, and a very nice swimming pool.
One of the activities that I enjoyed the most was Happy Hour.
There were a few couples who would meet every day at about 4:00 to relax with a cold drink, gossip, and just have a good time.
Sometimes there would be munchies and sometimes there would be quite a crowd.
While we were down there, a couple of times happy hour didn't end until after 10:30.
My dad and I had the guitars out and just had a great time until we had to break up happy hour to get things quieted down for the night.
The last night Mary and I were there, we had a Bean Soup Super and everybody had brought in all kinds of great food.
We had about 60 people there, and I have a few pics from there, but we had a great time
and met a lot of neat people.
